WHY JOIN MILLS COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE? WE'LL TELL YA!
WHO
ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE REPRESENT:
Your
Chamber is a volunteer based, service action organization working together to improve the economic, civic,
and cultural well being of the area. The Chamber is comprised of committee
workers, directors, and officers who serve with out pay.
Planning, inspiration, funding, and leadership are molded into a Program
of Action, developed by the Board of Directors, as the Chamber's projects and
activities for the year. They provide a medium through
which people can take effective action for the progress of the community.
Through
a wide variety of programs and initiatives, the Chamber works to support the
growth and prosperity of Chamber-member businesses and the community.
We develop, promote activities and services that draw visitors and
attention to our area and through that, we all prosper.
We are a referral service to business
and community inquiries through phone calls, emails and U.S. Mail.
We receive inquiries on a daily basis for information concerning our area
and businesses and we are there to answer the cause.
New residents moving to this area are
attracted by the charm and community spirit of this small town.
We
want to promote and market Mills County as a year-round destination for guests,
tourists, conventions, meetings, trade shows and the leisure travel industry.
With strong support from business members and individual community
members, this can be done.
OUR
STRATEGIC GOALS
Our goal is to
expand the leadership skills of dedicated individuals that live or work in Mills
County, to deepen their sense of community responsibility, and heighten their
involvement in volunteer opportunities, neighborhood associations and the
community as a whole. We hope to
develop a program designed to involve highly motivated individuals that will
lead the community today and in the future.
